Corporate Valuation and Governance Review

The Hickory Group, LLC (“THG”) advised American Life, Inc. in the execution of two assignments: Valuation opinion and corporate governance analysis.

Specifically, THG analyzed a number of interlocking partnerships, real estate projects and other corporate assets in order to determine an appropriate range of potential enterprise value. The range of value was based on company provided information and utilized generally accepted valuation methodologies. The corporate governance assignment included (i) an analysis of current company policies and protocols, (ii) an analysis of best-of-breed policies and protocols of similar real estate investment and asset management firms, and (iii) recommendations of potential adjustments to current corporate governance policies and protocols.

The assignment synthesized the execution of a fairness opinion with a contemporary consultative exercise concerning corporate governance. The result was a body of work which provided the client with a range of value which was in-line with market multiples and a roadmap to providing all stakeholders with superior, market-leading corporate governance procedures.
